Production release is almost here.

DOCOpack will soon move out of beta and into its first production release.

This release brings improvements across the documentation workflow, with a focus on reliability, consistency and ease of use.

ENSURE NEW TEMPLATES

This release includes new default templates. If you are updating from a previous release you will need to clear your existing default templates or download them.

Windows: Archive the Templates folder found at:

C:\Users(your username)\AppData\Roaming\DOCOlab\DOCOpack\Templates

macOS: Archive the Templates folder found at:

~/Library/Application Support/DOCOlab/DOCOpack/Templates

When you next run DOCOpack, the new default templates will be copied into their place.

Update existing modified Templates

To keep working with your existing templates make sure you open them and run DLPKTemplateManger and ensure new required fields are set.

What's new​

  • TOC Enhancements — TOC is now fully customisable in the Template Manager.
  • Performance Improvements — Large packs with many layouts, details and labels could become slow to update. The update algorithm has now been optimised, so updates should be noticeably quicker.
  • Multi-Language Support — UI language support has been expanded. The UI and default templates now support English, French, German and Spanish.

  • Template Editor — The template editor has been rewritten to provide a more stable and intuitive experience.

Fixes​

  • Stability & Performance — Various fixes and optimisations improve overall stability and performance.
  • DLPKTemplateManagerAdvanced — The advanced template manager command has now been subsumed by the standard DLPKTemplateManager command.
