DLGRAnnotation
DLGRAnnotation
creates a grade annotation object linked to any specific object, or collection of objects found on the Generated Surface Layer layer in the model.
There are three types of grade annotations to choose from:
- Point Level (A leader object indicating the relative level of the point projected on the target geometry)
- Point Grade (A leader object indicating the grade of the normal at the point on the target geometry)
- Point to Point Grade (An aligned dimension object indicating the grade between the start and end points projected to the target geometry)
First you are prompted "Pick an object", then to choose a point on the surface of the object to test the surface grade at that location. Annotations created this way are bound to the object. If the object moves the grade annotation should also update.
DLGRAnnotation
makes most sense in top view as annotations are based on a the surface as measured from the Z axiz from the world XY plane origin. Generated annotations are created flat on the Wold XY plane so make most sense when viewed from the top.
The following command options are accessed through the hyphenated -DLGRAnnotation
form:
Slope Format
Specifies how the slope is expressed. Only applies to slope annotations.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Ratio | Slope annotations are expressed as a ratio. e.g. 1:100 |
Percentage | Slope annotations are expressed as a percentages. e.g. 5.1% |
Object Source
Specifies the source object(s) to base the annotation calculations on.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Object (default) | Annotation objects are bound to an object. |
Layer | Annotation objects are based on layer content and not linked to an object. |
Annotation Type
Specifies the type of annotation object to generate.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Spot Level | The output is a spot level e.g. RL150.50 |
Spot Grade | The output is a spot grade. |
PointToPointGrade | The output is a grade based on two points. |
Annotation Target Layer
Specifies the output layer for the generated annotation objects.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Use Preference | Annotation objects are generated on the layer determined in the document settings. |
UseCurrent | Annotation objects are generated on the current active layer. |
